Is momoChef free?
Yes! momoChef offers a free forever plan with unlimited recipe storage. Premium features like unlimited imports, AI Cooking Assistant, and collaborative cooking are available for $9.99/year.
What's included in the free plan?
The free plan includes unlimited recipe storage, basic meal planning, grocery lists, access to community recipes, and 5 AI messages per day. You can organize recipes into books and share individual recipes.
What do I get with Premium?
Premium includes unlimited recipe imports (URL, photo, text), unlimited AI messages, collaborative cooking sessions, calendar export, recurring meal plans, advanced analytics, and priority support.
Features
Can I import recipes from any website?
momochef supports recipe imports from most major recipe websites using our smart parser. You can import by pasting a URL, uploading a photo (Premium), typing manually, or using our browser extension for one-click saving.
How do I share recipes with friends?
You can share recipes via a public link, invite friends to collaborate on recipe books, or use our messaging feature to send recipes directly. Public recipes can be viewed by anyone with the link.
How does the AI Cooking Assistant work?
Our AI can help you find recipes, suggest substitutions, modify recipes for dietary needs, plan meals, and answer cooking questions. It understands your pantry, meal plan, and preferences to give personalized help.
Can I export my recipes?
Yes! You can export your recipes in multiple formats including JSON, CSV, Markdown, and ZIP. This allows you to backup your data or migrate to/from other recipe apps.
How do collaborative cooking sessions work?
Start a cooking session from any recipe to get a unique code. Share the code with friends or family, and they can join in real-time. Everyone sees the same steps, timers, and progress as you cook together.
Does momoChef support metric and imperial units?
Yes! You can choose your preferred unit system in settings. momoChef can also convert between units when scaling recipes or using the AI assistant.
iOS App
Does momoChef work offline?
The iOS app supports full offline mode. Your recipes and data are stored locally, and changes sync automatically when you reconnect. The web app requires an internet connection.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes! momoChef has a native iOS app available on the App Store. The iOS app includes offline mode, widgets, Share Extension for quick imports, and full sync with the web app. An Android app is coming soon.
Billing
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes, you can cancel your Premium subscription at any time. You'll retain Premium features until the end of your billing period. Your data remains accessible regardless of subscription status.
