Following Users

Follow your favorite cooks to see their latest recipes in your feed.

Following Someone

  1. Go to a user's profile (click their name on any recipe)
  2. Click Follow
  3. Their new public recipes will appear in the feed on your Recipes page

Reporting and Blocking

If someone's content breaks the rules, use the report button on the recipe or photo — reports go to moderation. To stop someone from interacting with you, block them from their profile in the iPhone app: blocking is instant and mutual, and it severs any friendship.

Groups

Join or create groups around shared cooking interests.

What are Groups?

Groups are communities within momoChef focused on specific topics:

  • Cooking styles (Instant Pot, Air Fryer, Sous Vide)
  • Dietary preferences (Keto, Vegetarian, Whole30)
  • Cuisines (Italian Cooking, Asian Fusion)
  • Local communities (NYC Home Cooks, London Foodies)
  • Special interests (Bread Baking, Cocktail Making)

Joining a Group

  1. Go to Community and find the Groups list

Group Features

  • Shared Recipe Books: Group members can contribute recipes, with each book deciding who can add — everyone, with admin approval, or admins only
  • Group Feed: Shares posted to the group appear in the group's feed

Tip: Create a group for your family to share recipes and coordinate meal planning — groups are open to everyone, and each book's contribution setting decides who can add recipes.
